A new srqmodern.com — and why Shellcrete moved to its own

The site you are reading is new. Here is what is on it and what changed.

What is here now

Every line we carry, listed properly. The showroom holds material from more than thirty manufacturers and the old site named almost none of them. The brands page now separates the three relationships that customers reasonably confuse: the surfaces we make ourselves, the manufacturers who appointed us as an authorized dealer, and the lines we simply stock. Those are different claims and they are worth telling apart.

Straight answers before anybody quotes you. The guides cover what a tile job costs on this coast, what changes past 48 inches of porcelain, and what actually survives a Florida slab. They are written by the people who install it.

The cities we work in, with what is different about each one — condo underlayment rules on the barrier islands are not the same problem as a 1960s terrazzo floor in Sarasota.

Shellcrete has its own site now

Our shell-aggregate concrete surface is a different purchase from a tile renovation, made by different people, often in a different county. It now lives at shellcrete.com with its own guides, finishes and gallery.

It is the same company and the same crews. Splitting it means somebody searching for a pool deck is not made to read about kitchen backsplashes to get there.

What is still coming

Project pages are being filled in with the detail behind each photograph, and more of the showroom is being catalogued. If something you were looking for is not here yet, ask us — that is faster than waiting for us to write it, and it tells us what to write next.
