Why designers spec us

The showroom that has it, not the one that has a sample of it.

You know the one: the European porcelain the local showroom could not actually get, the lead time that blew the schedule, and the designer who wore it. We price a spec fast, we confirm stock and vendor lead times before the quote, and the Riva Spain line is here in full, on display, in its own building — the only authorized dealer on this coast.

Then the part that matters most: the crew that installs it is ours. Takeoffs come from your drawings, and the layout, grout colour and transitions are written into the proposal, so what gets installed is what you drew.

How it works

Four steps, the least hand-holding of anyone

  1. 1

    The spec arrives

Brand, model, size, grout colour, layouts, square footage. That is the whole brief.

  2. 2

    Priced, with stock confirmed

A number back fast — with lead times checked with the vendor first, so the price is a price and not a hope.

  3. 3

    You direct the install

Your client signs off; you point the builder or the homeowner to us; we install to the drawing.

  4. 4

    A named project manager

A warm handoff to one person whose number you have. You are on the contact list, not the switchboard.

What you get

What a designer gets from us that a retailer cannot give

  1. 01

A showroom you can bring a client to

Two buildings — the tile studio and the Riva gallery — full slabs rather than chips, and sample boards to take home. The appointment is yours.

  2. 02

Technical answers for the project manual

Spec sheets, wear layers and warranty terms on every product page; Duradek details for the architect. The authorized dealer is the one who can put it in writing.

  3. 03

    Credit on the finished work

Project pages name the designer, and the photography is shared for your portfolio. Something your client's neighbours do not have, with your name on it.

As a interior designer based in Sarasota for over 20 years, SRQ Modern has been one of my most frequent stops for sophisticated and elegant tile selections.

Not only do they take their time to stay well organized, but they make my job run a lot smoother by providing quick and easily accessible samples. This is essential when working locally. It brings flexibility and positive differences to our industry. From start to finish, I enjoy working with this great team of professionals, especially with Carly. She has been a trustworthy partner throughout all my projects and a I love working with her.

I am a designer who works with Romina & Alan often.

I love working with the both of them, they are both kind and very knowledgeable in their products. They have a way of helping you with your vision and will do what it takes to make that vision come to life! Sarasota is lucky to have an on trend and well versed vendor here in town!

Questions designers ask

Before you send the spec

Will you price a spec, or do I have to come in?

Send the spec — brand, model, size, grout colour, layout, square footage — and you get a price back fast, with stock and lead times confirmed before the number, not after.

Is the material actually in stock?

Riva is: the whole line, in its own building, on display. For everything else we confirm the vendor's lead time before we quote it, so a schedule never finds out the hard way.

Will the crew follow the layout as drawn?

Yes — and it is written down. Takeoffs come from your drawings, and the layout, grout colour and transitions go into the proposal so the crew is installing the document, not interpreting it.

Who do I call when something goes wrong on site?

A named project manager, whose number you have. You are on the contact list, not the switchboard, and you are not the one who catches the blame for our work.

Can I bring a client to the showroom?

That is what it is for. Two buildings — the tile studio and the Riva gallery — full slabs rather than chips, and sample boards to take home.
